North Carolina S1036 amends the General Statutes to allow the chief of a tribal police department to enter into mutual aid agreements with other law enforcement agencies, including municipal, county, and sheriff's offices. The bill specifies that only one officer per agency can be delegated authority to make or grant requests under this section. It also appropriates $10,000 in nonrecurring funds for the 2026-2027 fiscal year to assist with administering these agreements.
