North Carolina H790 amends the General Statutes to prohibit the sale of tobacco products, alternative nicotine products, and vapor products within 1,000 feet of any public or nonpublic school property line. This prohibition applies to any person, firm, or corporation. The sale or purchase of these products is not prohibited if it occurs as an incidental part of another business. A violation of this law is a Class 2 misdemeanor. The act becomes effective December 1, 2025.
