Protect Access to In Vitro Fertilization

Introduced·2/10/25

North Carolina H76 protects access to assisted reproductive technologies like in vitro fertilization.

North Carolina H76 amends state law to protect access to assisted reproductive technologies, including in vitro fertilization, gamete intrafallopian transfer, and zygote intrafallopian transfer. The bill ensures that neither the state nor its political subdivisions can prohibit, unreasonably limit, or interfere with patients' rights to access these technologies, health care providers' rights to provide related information and services, and the provision of evidence-based information about these technologies. The act is effective immediately upon becoming law.
