North Carolina H703 amends state law to permit state veterans cemeteries to sell monuments and memorials, such as memorial trees, granite or marble markers, and granite or marble benches, to honor those interred within. The cemeteries may set stylistic guidelines but cannot prohibit sales. Prices must not exceed market rates, and proceeds will be used for cemetery maintenance, improvement, or care. The act takes effect October 1, 2025.
