North Carolina H673 provides funding for neonatal transport services when insurance denies coverage. The Board of Governors of The University of North Carolina will allocate $656,000 annually for 2025-2027 to cover transport costs for neonatal patients from UNC Health Care System hospitals. The Board must submit an annual report to the General Assembly detailing expenditures and transport numbers. The act becomes effective July 1, 2025.
