Reduce Early Voting Period

Introduced·2/5/25

North Carolina H66 reduces the early voting period to the second Monday before an election.

North Carolina H66 modifies the early voting period for elections, reducing it to the second Monday before an election. Previously, early voting could start as early as the third Thursday before an election. This change limits early voting to a single day, the second Monday before the election, and ends it at 3:00 P.M. on the last Saturday before the election. This act applies to elections held after it becomes law.
