North Carolina H566 modifies the Principal Fellows Program to establish competitive grants for eligible entities to elevate educators in public schools. The bill creates grants for forgivable scholarship loans and for developing innovative training methods for principals. The North Carolina Commission on Public School Leadership selects up to eight recipients for scholarship loans and up to two recipients for training grants. The North Carolina Principal Fellows Trust Fund may allocate funds for administrative costs and other program expenses.
