The bill allocates $700,000 from the General Fund to the Community Colleges System Office for the 2025-2026 fiscal year. This funding is to be divided equally between Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and Wake Technical Community College. The funds will be used to establish training sites for certification as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner. Each college can use up to $105,000 to hire a full-time faculty member and a clinical coordinator, and up to $45,000 for equipment. Additionally, up to $95,000 is designated for program development and accreditation costs.
