North Carolina H460, the Medical Equipment Right to Repair Act, requires original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of medical imaging and radiation therapy equipment to provide owners and independent repair providers with access to support documentation, tools, and parts needed for diagnostic, maintenance, and repair services. OEMs must notify owners and repair providers of any updates to support documentation and may charge for printed copies. Training materials and courses offered to authorized repair providers must also be made available to owners and independent repair providers.
