North Carolina H415 modifies high school mathematics graduation requirements by dividing NC Math 1 into Extended Math 1 and 2, and NC Math 2 into Extended Math 3 and 4. Students who completed NC Math 1 with a grade of C or lower must take Extended Math 2 to meet their NC Math 1 graduation requirement. Students who completed NC Math 2 with a grade of C or lower must take Extended Math 4 to meet their NC Math 2 graduation requirement. The State Board of Education will adopt rules to implement these changes, effective starting with the 2025-2026 school year.
