Increases vehicle registration fees for private passenger vehicles to fund State Highway Patrol salaries and raises.

This bill increases the vehicle registration fee for private passenger vehicles in North Carolina to fund salary increases for State Highway Patrol officers. The additional fee of $6.25 per vehicle will be transferred monthly to the Department of Public Safety to support State Highway Patrol salaries. The bill also appropriates $40,400,000 from the General Fund to the Reserve for Compensation Increases for State Highway Patrol officers for the 2025-2027 fiscal biennium.
