North Carolina H30 provides flexibility to Winston-Salem/Forsyth, Stokes, and Davidson County Schools in setting school calendar dates.

North Carolina H30 allows Winston-Salem/Forsyth, Stokes, and Davidson County Schools to set their opening date as early as August 11 and closing date as late as June 11, with exceptions for good cause. The bill also permits these schools to administer assessments before the end of the fall semester if they conclude before December 31. This act applies starting with the 2025-2026 school year.
