Allows use of tribal enrollment card for alcohol and tobacco purchases in North Carolina.

This bill allows the use of a tribal enrollment card issued by a state or federally recognized Indian tribe as proof of age for alcohol and tobacco purchases in North Carolina. It also permits the use of other forms of identification, such as a driver's license or passport, that show the purchaser's age and a physical description. The bill mandates that retailers train their employees on these requirements and display signs near the point of sale. It provides defenses for sellers who reasonably rely on the presented identification. The law becomes effective on December 1, 2025.
