North Carolina H215 amends the Charlotte Firefighters' Retirement System to enhance cybersecurity protections. The Board of Trustees must establish a reporting mechanism and grievance procedure for participants and beneficiaries affected by data breaches or cybersecurity incidents. The Board must also investigate reported incidents, provide resources to affected individuals, and make whole those who were victims of such incidents. The Board must contract for data breach and cyber liability insurance within 60 days of the act's effective date.
