North Carolina H173 temporarily limits the expansion of extraterritorial jurisdiction by any municipality in Wake County. This act prohibits municipalities from extending their extraterritorial jurisdiction beyond the territory they controlled on January 1, 2025. The act applies exclusively to Wake County and is effective immediately upon becoming law, expiring on December 31, 2028.
