The bill repeals Haywood County's authority to impose an occupancy tax, effective July 1, 2025. It removes the authority for the Haywood County Tourism Development Authority to collect such taxes. Any remaining funds must be spent within six months of the repeal, and the Authority will dissolve. If funds remain after dissolution, the Haywood County Board of Commissioners will use them for the same purposes.
