Allows certain educational organizations to expedite the process to obtain surplus and decommissioned federal material and property.

The bill amends North Carolina law to allow certain educational organizations to expedite the process to obtain surplus and decommissioned federal material and property. Specifically, educational organizations with tax-exempt status under 26 U.S.C. § 501(c)(3) can now bypass certain restrictions to acquire surplus federal property for educational purposes. This act becomes effective immediately upon becoming law.
