New Mexico SB79 provides grants to local governments and state educational institutions for mosquito surveillance, prevention, and mitigation projects. The bill appropriates $2,000,000 from the general fund to the Department of Health for fiscal years 2027 and 2028. The Department of Health can use up to $1,500,000 for these projects. Any unexpended balance at the end of fiscal year 2028 will revert to the general fund.
