New Mexico SB76 raises the gasoline tax and the special fuel excise tax.

New Mexico SB76 increases the gasoline tax from seventeen cents to twenty-three cents per gallon and the special fuel excise tax from twenty-one cents to twenty-six cents per gallon. These taxes apply to the privilege of receiving or using gasoline and special fuel in New Mexico. The changes take effect on July 1, 2026.
