New Mexico HB151 extends the statute of limitations for childhood sexual abuse claims.

New Mexico HB151 amends the statute of limitations for actions based on personal injury caused by childhood sexual abuse. It allows such actions to be commenced by a person before the latest of three dates: the first instant of the person's twenty-fourth birthday, three years from the date of first disclosure to a licensed medical or mental health care provider, or June 30, 2029. The bill also retroactively revives actions barred on or before July 1, 2026, allowing them to be commenced by June 30, 2029.
