Designates first Sunday in May as "Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service Day" in New Jersey.

This joint resolution designates the first Sunday in May of each year as "Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service Day" in New Jersey to honor volunteer and career firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice. The Governor will issue a proclamation annually, urging public officials and citizens to observe the day with appropriate activities. State and local government agencies are urged to fly the flags of the United States and New Jersey at half-staff in honor of fallen firefighters.
