Establishes New Jersey Pharmacogenomics Commission to study genetic effects on medication effectiveness.

The New Jersey Pharmacogenomics Commission is established to study pharmacogenomics, the relationship between a person's genetic makeup and medication effectiveness or toxicity. The commission will examine costs, benefits, and applications of pharmacogenomics, including personalized medicine and the opioid crisis. It will hold public hearings and submit a report to the Governor and Legislature with recommendations. The commission will expire upon report submission.
