Establishes the "New Jersey Domestic Violence and Legal Access Task Force" to study unmet legal needs in domestic violence matters.

The bill establishes the "New Jersey Domestic Violence and Legal Access Task Force" to study the impact of unmet legal needs in domestic violence matters. The task force will examine how lack of access to legal counsel affects residents' ability to protect themselves from harm and defend against abuse allegations. It will be comprised of 16 members, including public members appointed by the Governor and representatives from various legal and advocacy organizations. The task force will present its findings and recommendations to the Governor and the Legislature within 18 months.
