New Jersey S974 imposes a $250 daily fine on each legislator during a state of emergency due to failure to enact an annual appropriations law.

New Jersey S974 imposes a daily fine of $250 on each member of the Legislature during a state of emergency caused by the failure to enact a general appropriation law. The fine is to be paid to the State Treasurer for deposit into the State General Fund. This act takes effect immediately.
