The bill establishes a three-year Skilled Trades Career Exploration Pilot Program to develop and expand career and technical education programs for high school students in New Jersey. School districts interested in participating must submit an application to the Commissioner of Education. The commissioner will establish selection criteria and award grants to five districts in each of the southern, central, and northern regions of the state.
