Introduced·1/9/24
Introduced Text

New Jersey S918 authorizes craft distilleries to ship distilled spirits directly to consumers.

New Jersey S918 amends distillery licensing laws to allow craft distilleries to ship up to nine liters of distilled spirits per year to consumers over 21 years old for personal use. The bill removes restrictions on direct shipments within and outside the state, eliminates the requirement for visitors to take a tour to consume spirits on the premises, and lifts the limit on retail sales for off-premises consumption to five liters per person. Craft distilleries must maintain a copy of the original invoice for inspection for three years.
