New Jersey S871 allocates all revenue from hotel and motel occupancy fees for arts, historical heritage, and tourism purposes. The bill amends the allocation percentages to ensure 100% of the collected fees are directed towards these areas. Specifically, 56.7% will go to the New Jersey State Council on the Arts for cultural projects, 3.84% to the New Jersey Historical Commission for historical heritage, 31.9% to the Division of Travel and Tourism for tourism promotion, and 1.8% to the New Jersey Cultural Trust.
