Establishes a pilot program for NJ FamilyCare eligibility for children with special needs, regardless of parental income and assets.

The bill establishes a three-year pilot program to provide NJ FamilyCare benefits to children with special needs who live in the family home and would otherwise qualify for federal Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits, except for parental income or assets. The Department of Human Services will annually redetermine whether a child continues to meet the definition of blind or disabled under the SSI program. If the child no longer qualifies, NJ FamilyCare benefits will be terminated.
