Introduced Text

Allows out-of-State individuals to use teaching experience for New Jersey cosmetology and hairstyling licensure.

This bill amends New Jersey law to permit individuals with teaching experience in cosmetology and hairstyling from other states or countries to apply for a New Jersey license without examination. The teaching experience must be from a facility licensed or approved by the other jurisdiction. The bill also establishes a three-year pilot program to evaluate the effectiveness of this new licensing approach.
