Chamber Passed·5/20/24
Introduced Text

Supplemental transportation aid provided to certain districts participating in interdistrict public school choice program.

New Jersey S787 provides supplemental transportation aid to districts participating in the interdistrict public school choice program. A choice district is eligible for this aid if it demonstrates cost-efficient bus routes. Districts in cities directed by the New Jersey Supreme Court to desegregate must provide transportation for students from sending districts. The choice district must report annual transportation costs exceeding the aid received from sending districts, with reimbursement from the Department of Education.
