New Jersey S784 amends the Cannabis Regulatory Enforcement Assistance, and Marketplace Modernization Act to allow employers to prohibit recreational cannabis use by employees operating heavy machinery, handling weapons, or whose use would put the public at serious risk, as well as law enforcement officers. Employers may require drug testing for these employees if there is reasonable suspicion of cannabis use or observable signs of intoxication.
