Exempts certain redevelopers from inactive alcoholic beverage licenses restriction.

New Jersey S742 exempts certain redevelopers from the restriction on inactive alcoholic beverage licenses. This bill allows Class C licenses used in redevelopment, improvement, or revitalization areas to remain active even if they have been inactive for two consecutive license terms. The exemption applies to developers, redevelopers, their affiliates, or tenants if the area encompasses at least 250,000 square feet and has secured site plan approvals. The bill also allows for extensions if the licensee is making a good faith effort to resume active use of the license.
