Introduced Text

Expands eligibility for the property tax reimbursement program to include disabled retirees under the Police and Firemen’s Retirement System of New.

This bill expands eligibility for the property tax reimbursement program to include individuals who do not work and are retired on a disability retirement under the Police and Firemen’s Retirement System of New Jersey (PFRS). Currently, only disabled persons receiving Social Security Disability benefits are eligible for the property tax reimbursement program. This change ensures that disabled individuals who have retired under the PFRS are also eligible for the program.
