This bill exempts sales of investment metal bullion and investment coins from the sales and use tax in New Jersey. Investment metal bullion includes precious metals like gold, silver, platinum, and palladium that have been smelted or refined. Investment coins are numismatic coins made of precious metals or other metals with a fair market value of at least $1,000, excluding jewelry, works of art, and commemorative medallions. The exemption applies to sales made after the first day of the fourth month following the bill's enactment.
