New Jersey S687 establishes a Joint Blue Ribbon Task Force on Impacts of Climate Change on Property Insurance. The task force will analyze how climate change affects residential and commercial property insurance, including the affordability and availability of insurance, risks not reflected in insurance prices, and the displacement impacts on communities. The task force, composed of 17 members appointed by the Governor, will submit a report to the Governor and the Legislature one year after its formation. The task force will expire upon report submission.
