Electronic Cigarette Extended Producer Responsibility Act mandates e-cigarette producers to form a producer responsibility organization.

The Electronic Cigarette Extended Producer Responsibility Act requires producers of electronic cigarettes to establish a producer responsibility organization. This organization must develop and implement a plan for the environmentally sound disposal of e-cigarettes. The plan must include collection sites accessible to at least 90% of residents within 15 miles. The Department of Environmental Protection must approve the organization and its plan, which must be updated every five years. The plan must also include a financing mechanism and educational outreach efforts.
