New Jersey S671 introduces a requirement for high school students to complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as part of their graduation requirements. Students can request an exemption by submitting a signed form from a parent, guardian, or the student if they are at least 18 years old. The Commissioner of Education, in consultation with the Higher Education Student Assistance Authority, will publish resources to assist school districts, parents, and students with the FAFSA process.
