Introduced Text

New Jersey S625 requires MVC to authorize third-party vendors for commercial driver license testing.

New Jersey S625 amends current law to mandate the Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) to authorize third-party vendors in administering commercial driver license testing. The bill removes the requirement for vendor appointments to be based on the Commercial Driver License Testing Pilot Program. It also eliminates the provision allowing the chief administrator to limit the number of third-party vendors. The chief administrator retains the authority to suspend or revoke vendor authorizations. The bill takes effect immediately.
