This applies to both traditional and Voice Over Internet Protocol or other Internet-based telephone services, with the exception of outages occurring during events causing significant damage to the electric grid. The Board of Public Utilities retains the authority to establish additional exceptions or limitations. Customers are not required to take any action to receive these bill adjustments or credits.
