Expands school breakfast program to all schools with five percent or more of students eligible for free or reduced price meals.

The bill expands the school breakfast program to all public schools in New Jersey where five percent or more of the students are eligible for free or reduced price meals. It mandates that school districts submit plans for implementing the breakfast program to the Department of Agriculture by November 1, 2022, for schools with grades pre-K through sixth grade, and by November 1, 2023, for other schools. The Department of Agriculture will review these plans and provide feedback within three months.
