New Jersey S514 requires the presence of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) at certain places of public assembly and youth athletic events. Owners or operators of these places must acquire and maintain at least one AED on-site, accessible at all times when the venue is open. They must also develop a cardiac event response protocol, train employees and volunteers in CPR and AED use, and notify emergency services about the AED's location. A civil penalty applies for non-compliance.
