Establishes "Pre-Vetted Accessory Design Program" to facilitate development of accessory dwelling units.
This bill establishes the "Pre-Vetted Accessory Design Program" in the Department of Community Affairs to facilitate the development of accessory dwelling units. The commissioner must approve a design for it to be considered a pre-vetted accessory design, which then complies with the "State Uniform Construction Code Act." At least 10 pre-vetted accessory designs must be developed, and each must be made available at no cost.
