Introduced Text

New Jersey S473 allows shore municipalities to offer free or reduced-cost beach access to spouses and dependent children of veterans.

New Jersey S473 permits shore municipalities to provide free or reduced-cost beach access to spouses and dependent children over the age of 12 of veterans who served in the U.S. Armed Forces and were honorably discharged. This bill amends existing law to include these family members of veterans, aligning their access benefits with those of active military personnel and Gold Star Family members. The municipalities can set these fees by ordinance and must track the number of beneficiaries.
