Establishes a three-year pilot program for agency after-school respite care for individuals under 21 with developmental disabilities.
The bill establishes a three-year pilot program for agency after-school respite care for individuals under 21 with developmental disabilities. Parents or legal guardians can use agency after-school care hours as agency weekend recreation respite care hours. This change does not affect the individual’s existing service authorization, authorized respite hours, or eligibility for respite care services. Agencies in Monmouth or Ocean Counties can participate if they are contracted with the Division of Children’s System of Care and authorized to provide after-school and weekend respite care.
