The bill mandates the Department of Children and Families (DCF) to broaden the NJ Statewide Student Support Services program to encompass eating disorder awareness, prevention, and counseling services. Regional hubs contracted with DCF must conduct a community-based needs assessment to evaluate the availability of eating disorder services and determine if students in grades K-12 are receiving such services. Based on the assessment, the hubs will develop and adopt policies and procedures to provide these services according to the tiered services administered by the hub.
