Allows additional damages in wrongful death actions if the decedent was below the age of majority.

This bill amends New Jersey's wrongful death statute to allow for additional damages in wrongful death actions if the decedent was below the age of majority at the time of death. These additional damages include emotional distress, grief, loss of enjoyment of life, non-pecuniary value of the loss of guidance, advice, and companionship, costs incurred for the care and maintenance of the decedent during their life, and pain and suffering experienced by the decedent. These damages can be awarded to those entitled to the intestate personal property of the decedent.
