Establishes a reference-based pricing system for certain medical services in New Jersey.

The bill establishes a reference-based pricing system for certain medical services in New Jersey. It requires carriers to offer reference-based pricing for medical services with the highest unit price variations, as determined by the Department of Banking and Insurance. Carriers must disclose to covered persons a list of medical services subject to reference-based pricing, the reference price for each service, and health care providers accepting these prices. The list must be updated annually and made available on the carrier's website.
