New Jersey S4349 allows parents of twins or higher order multiples to choose shared or separate preschool classrooms.

New Jersey S4349 amends existing law to allow parents or guardians of twins or higher order multiples to request that their children be placed in the same or separate preschool classrooms. The bill also requires public schools to treat twins or higher order multiples as one unit in preschool lottery systems or open enrollment. The provisions apply to preschool programs operated by licensed child care providers and public schools. The bill takes effect immediately and applies to the first full school year following enactment.
