New Jersey S4343 restricts the maximum brightness of motor vehicle headlamps to 2,513 lumens.

New Jersey S4343 restricts the brightness of motor vehicle headlamps to a maximum of 2,513 lumens. The Chief Administrator of the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission will not issue a registration certificate for a motor vehicle if any headlamp exceeds this brightness limit. This restriction does not apply to vehicles registered before the bill's enactment or to vehicles available for sale at dealerships as of the bill's enactment.
