The New Jersey Zero Suicide in Health Systems Act establishes a Statewide zero suicide initiative within the Department of Health to promote voluntary implementation of a zero suicide framework in health care facilities and behavioral health care settings. The initiative focuses on developing model policies, providing training and technical assistance, facilitating learning collaboratives, and integrating suicide risk screening and safety planning into clinical practice.
